Sustainability policy

Mobility Scooter Insurance Quest is a guide to mobility scooter insurance in the UK. We try to apply sustainability to everything we do. This page says what that means in practice, and — just as important — what we do not claim.

Our footprint

We are a small, digital-only business. Almost all of our direct footprint is the electricity behind our servers and the devices we work on — we have no factory, no fleet and no warehouse.

What we do about it

• We aim to keep pages light — fewer heavy scripts and media files mean less energy per visit.
• We meet online by default and travel only when meeting in person genuinely matters.
• Where we have a choice of supplier, we prefer those that publish their own emissions data.
• We review this policy once a year, and when anything material about how we work changes.

How we report

We are well below the size at which Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting or the UK’s new standards apply. We still use the UK Sustainability Reporting Standards as our reference for how a company should think about climate-related risks and emissions, so that the habits are in place long before any obligation is.

What we will not claim

We do not describe ourselves as carbon neutral or net zero, and we will not make an environmental claim we cannot evidence. The rules on green claims reach marketing as much as reporting — green claims in go-to-market explains why vague words like “eco-friendly” are the ones that get challenged.

Who owns this

Our founder owns this policy. When we need specialist input we bring it in part-time for a defined piece of work — a fractional sustainability lead — rather than hiring full-time for a need that is part-time.
